REAL ID requirements have been in effect since May 2025.
94% of flyers now use REAL ID or accepted IDs like passports or Global Entry cards.
The remaining 6% face enhanced screening.

💵 Introducing TSA ConfirmID

If you don't have a compliant ID, you can buy TSA ConfirmID for $45.

Register and pay ahead online at Pay.Gov.
ConfirmID is valid for 10 days from payment.

🛃 At the Airport

After purchase, you'll get a receipt by email—show it (printed or on your phone) along with your ID to TSA agents.

This helps cover extra screening costs, so taxpayers aren't charged.
Even with ConfirmID, expect potential delays, so plan extra time.
Without advance payment, you can pay at marked spots near security but expect longer delays and possible missed flights.

The enhanced screening process at the airport can take up to 30 minutes.
