🌟 Behind the Scenes: Jennifer's Personal Travel Loves

    Jennifer Walker

Hi there! As a travel advisor who truly believes in the magic of genuine connections, I thought it might be fun—and a little brave—to share a few personal travel preferences with you. Why? Because when we're transparent about what we love (and what we don't), it's easier to find the perfect travel style that fits your own tastes and dreams. So, let's see how many things we might have in common!

🍂 Why Fall Captures My Heart

For me, Fall is hands-down the best time of year to travel. After the summer allergy season fades, the temperatures cool just enough that I can break out those cozy, layered outfits without feeling like I'm melting all day long. Nothing beats the crisp air scented with autumn leaves, especially when I'm surrounded by vibrant foliage on mountainsides, rivers, and lakes. Plus, traveling in the shoulder season means fewer crowds and often friendlier prices—win-win!

My Unique Take on Water Adventures

I love scuba diving—it's like entering a whole new world beneath the waves. But oddly enough, I'm not a huge fan of swimming in the ocean near the shore or snorkeling where waves knock you around. If you're anything like me and prefer calm, relaxing water moments, you might also shy away from battling the surf.

    Not Your Typical Beach Girl

Speaking of water, I must admit I'm not what you'd call a "Beach Girl." The feeling of sand everywhere—between toes, behind ears, even somewhere you don't want—is just not my idea of fun. Instead, you'll find me chilling by a beautiful pool, preferably shaded by swaying palm trees, book in hand, soaking in the peaceful setting.

    Favorite Room Perk: Swim-Up Rooms!

Is there anything better than a swim-up room? I think not. Floating gently in water while reading a captivating book feels like pure luxury to me. It's the perfect blend of relaxation and convenience that I love to enjoy—and recommend.

    Worth Every Penny: Upgrades

When it comes to flying, I'm a strong believer that upgrading to Premium Economy or Business Class is totally worth it. More space, more comfort, less stress—all important if you're heading on a long-haul adventure.

    Fine Dining? Pass.

I'm usually not impressed by multiple-course fine dining experiences. Sitting through a marathon meal filled with dishes I'm not thrilled about? That feels more like torture than a treat. I'd rather enjoy relaxed meals that are tasty and authentic without the fuss.

    Sweet Travel Gestures

One fun little habit I have is bringing along pre-packaged candy, and handing out chocolates or sweets to flight crews, hotel staff, and even fellow guests. A small gesture like that creates smiles all around and adds a sprinkle of joy to the journey.

My Travel Expertise & Favorite Adventures

My favorite forms of travel are the only ones I now specialize in planning: unforgettable African safaris, guided vacations, expedition and luxury small-ship cruising, river cruises, and scenic rail packages. These are the experiences I love to share with clients who crave adventure with comfort and authenticity.

    My Ideal Client

I especially enjoy working with lifelong learners, those curious souls passionate about culture, history, architecture, and the natural world (and all its magnificent creatures!). If this sounds like you, we'll get along famously.

So, what about you? What places light up your imagination? What moments do you seek when you travel? I'd love to hear all about your travel dreams and preferences. Feel free to reach out to me. Let's chat and start planning your next great adventure!
